Looking for Speakeasy tickets?

            Party-goers looking for Speakeasy tickets for the upcoming SSIRP-sponsored event at the Chenango Arts Council building on Saturday, October 24 may purchase tickets by cash or check at The Sherburne News office (17 East State Street, Sherburne). Tickets are $55 per person, $95 per couple, and may also be purchased by credit card online at http://www.chenangoarts.org/special/. Attendees may purchase tickets over the phone by calling the arts council at 607-336-2787/ARTS.

The Speakeasy Masquerade Ball, beginning at 7 p.m. at the arts council building located at 27 West Main Street, Norwich, is a fundraiser for both organizations. Costumes are OPTIONAL but encouraged, and a cash prize will be awarded for the best costume of the evening. Attire for those not in costume is business casual or cocktail wear.

Your ticket price includes live music with renowned musician Monk Rowe and the Jazz Syncopators, dancing, food, drink, a casino with prizes (craps, roulette, and black jack), a silent auction, a ticket auction, special raffles, and a step-and-repeat with keepsake photos of guests in their masquerade finery. Silent auction items include a 6-hour fishing excursion on Lake Ontario ($600 value), dinner for 4 with wine pairings at Charlie Palmer Steak in New York City ($650 value), a golf foursome with carts at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown ($500 value), a weekend with dinner at The Sherburne Inn once open, artwork/photography by local artists Julian Button, Scott Braun, and Wells Horton, and much more.
